Primary Riveii - 2nd Grade

Primary Riveii - 2nd Grade is the last year in the Primary School.  Students attend Sunday mornings from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.  The second grade will focus on Bible stories mainly from Genesis, as well as many from the Prophets, and the Jewish values as seen and learned through these Jewish stories.  The students will also study the synagogue, its symbols and religious objects, the uses of a synagogue, the people who work there, and the history of Sinai Temple in Champaign/Urbana.  Students will also review the Hebrew Alphabet. Students will have an opportunity to learn how to write the print form of the Hebrew letters.  Lastly, throughout the year, students will learn about the holidays as they occur.
