Naomi and Ruth Twin Hearts Booklet (Grades 3rd-7th) -- January 26, 2014

Hey,
I hope that everyone is doing well. This past Sunday in Art class, as you can see in the title, we did "Naomi and Ruth Twin Heart Booklets."

There is a story in the bible about Naomi and Ruth and their love for each other. Ruth shows love and dedication to Naomi when she decides to leave her biological home to travel with Naomi back to Bethlehem. "Ahava" / love is an important Jewish moral. For these reasons, we made a booklet that commemorates the story of Naomi and Ruth....and the importance of love.

1. The students made a 3-piece pop up heart.
2. There was one big heart in the center in which the students wrote "Ahava" (which is love in Hebrew).
3.On either side of this big heart, there were two small, identical hearts. The first heart, the students wrote "Naomi" and the second heart they wrote "Ruth"
5. Then the front cover was decorated by either a door, road or house.
6. Underneath the illustration, the students wrote "Where you  go, I will go." This is what Ruth said to Naomi.
